How It Works
On each machine cycle, the nail feed cylinder extends to advance the V-nail magazine by one nail pitch. A worn or sticky cylinder causes inconsistent feed advance, resulting in double-feeds or missed nails.
Replacement Indicators
Replace when you observe: erratic nail indexing, visible air leakage from the cylinder body, rod seal oil weeping, or inconsistent nail placement. Preventive replacement every 12 months is recommended for high-volume shops.
