The Tabletop Nailing Die Number 15 is the largest standard die in the XKY Framing tabletop die range, purpose-built for heavy wide-profile mouldings where #15 V-nails provide deepest penetration and strongest corner bonds.
Specifications
The Tabletop Nailing Die Number 15 measures 26mm depth x 24mm width x 16mm height. The groove features a star-shaped multi-tooth profile that fully engages the spread-leg geometry of #15 V-nails, maximising mechanical locking action within the moulding wood.
Why Use the Largest Die?
When working with thick hardwood or wide ornamental mouldings, smaller die numbers may produce joints that flex over time. The Tabletop Nailing Die Number 15 ensures nails are driven to their maximum rated depth, creating joints that withstand weight of heavy canvases or mirrors.
Installation
Insert the die into the machine’s die seat and secure with the locking mechanism. Verify alignment with the ejector pin axis before firing. Run three test nails on scrap moulding to confirm correct nail seating depth.
Maintenance
Inspect the groove every 500 nailing cycles. The large groove profile is susceptible to wood-resin buildup. Clean regularly with a nylon brush and compressed air.
