Press Head Rubber Band for Framing Machine – Polyurethane Wedge Compression Pad
The Press Head Rubber Band for Framing Machine is a precision-cut red polyurethane pad installed in the pressing head assembly of corner nailing and framing machines. Its wedge profile geometry is key to how the pressing head self-adjusts against varying moulding profiles, distributing clamping force evenly across the contact area.
Specifications
Length: 75mm. Width: 20mm. Thickness: 10mm (at thickest point). Profile: tapered wedge. Material: red polyurethane. The tapered geometry creates a self-aligning action as the pressing head descends.
Why Polyurethane?
Natural rubber pads in pressing heads harden and crack over time, especially in workshops where solvent-based stains or oils are used. The Press Head Rubber Band for Framing Machine uses polyurethane, which offers superior oil and chemical resistance alongside better long-term compression set resistance.
Installation
Remove the pressing head assembly. Remove the worn rubber pad from its seat. Clean the seat surface. Install the new pad in the correct orientation (thicker edge toward the high-load side as shown in your machine diagram). Reassemble and test clamp pressure.
Service Life
In high-volume production (500+ frames/day), replace pressing head rubber bands every 3-6 months. Lower-volume shops can typically extend service to 12 months between replacements.
