6229 Silver Spiked Frame Hinge – Zinc Bright Finish for Natural Wood Frames
The 6229 Silver Spiked Frame Hinge delivers the same rapid barbed-spike joining technology as the black 6229 variant, but in a bright zinc electroplated silver finish that complements natural wood, maple, oak, and white-painted picture frame mouldings.
Silver Finish Advantages
The bright zinc coating on the 6229 Silver Spiked Frame Hinge provides excellent corrosion resistance and a reflective finish that remains visible inside frame channels, helping quality-control inspectors verify hinge placement at a glance during production.
Technical Specifications
Width: 14mm | Height: 28mm | Spike depth: 6mm | Hole diameter: 10mm | Material thickness: 0.5mm | Weight: 2.4g | Finish: Bright Zinc Silver
Differences from the Black 6229 Model
The silver 6229 is 1mm taller (28mm vs 27mm) and 0.1mm thinner (0.5mm vs 0.6mm), resulting in a slightly lighter unit at 2.4g vs 1.9g. The thinner material is offset by the zinc coating’s added surface hardness.
Applications
Natural pine frames, white-painted MDF frames, bleached oak shadow boxes, display cases with light interior linings, and any framing application where dark hardware would be visually intrusive.
